Gwinnett: Roadwork on I-85 NB Between Old Norcross and Boggs Roads
8:30 pm - 6 am nightly Fri. and Sat. May 16-17: 3 lanes closed on I-85 northbound between Old Norcross Rd. and Boggs Rd. (Exit 107).
Northbound motorists are strongly advised to use alternate routes during these hours. For real-time travel information, call 511.
INTOWN ATLANTA: SPECIAL EVENTS THIS WEEKEND - EXPECT HEAVY DELAYS
Fri - Sun. May 16-18: Several special events this weekend will bring large crowds (50,000+) to Philips Arena, Georgia World Congress Center, Centennial Olympic Park, and Turner Field. Heavy traffic delays are expected. Combined with roadwork on the Downtown Connector southbound, major congestion is expected.
Travelers passing through are urged to use I-285 and go around the city. Those attending events downtown should plan ahead, use public transit, or allow for heavy delays throughout the weekend. Call 511 for real-time traffic information, 24 hours a day.

I-75/85 Southbound:
Intown: 3 lanes closed between 10th Street and University Ave.

I-75 Southbound:
Bartow/Cherokee/Cobb: 1 lane closed between Exit 278 (Glade Rd.) and Exit 269 (Barrett Pkwy.).
I-20 in both directions:
- Carroll/Haralson: 1 lane closed between the AL/GA line and mile marker 1 (Bremen Mt. Zion Rd.), and between Exit 11 (SR 1/US 27/Martha Berry Hwy.) and mile marker 12 (Pleasant Grove Church Rd.)
- Douglas: 1 lane closed between Chapel Hill Rd. (Exit 36) and Lee Rd. (Exit 41)
I-285 in both directions:
S. Fulton: 1 lane closed between SR 14 Spur/SR 279/Old National Hwy. (Exit 62) and I-75 (Exit 58)
I-85 in both directions:
S. Fulton: 1-2 lanes closed in 2-mile intervals between Senoia Rd. (Exit 61) and Spur 14 / SR 279 (Exit 69)
SR 141 in both directions:
N. Fulton: 1 lane closed between McGinnis Ferry Rd. and the Chattahoochee River Bridge
SR 3/Northside Dr. Southbound:
Fulton: 1 right lane closed between North Ave. and Ralph David Abernathy Blvd.
US 19/SR 3/Old Dixie Rd. in both directions:
Clayton: 1-2 lanes closed over Georgia Central Railroad.
Motorists in these areas are advised to slow down, use caution, and allow extra time to reach their destinations.
Downtown Atlanta: 14th Street Bridge Closing May 27
Starting 12:01 a.m. Tues. May 27: The 14th Street Bridge will close between Fowler and Williams Streets until Winter 2009.
Motorists traveling east or west over the Downtown Connector should use 17th, 10th or 5th streets, or North Ave. as alternate routes. The following detours are in place for the duration of the project:
I-85 southbound ramp to 14th and 10th Streets closed.
- Motorists should exit I-85 at 17th St. (Exit 84) and use the 17th St. Bridge to Spring St. to access Midtown and locations west of I-75/85.
I-75 southbound ramp to 14th and 10th Streets from Exit 250 closed.
- Motorists should exit I-75 at Northside Dr. (Exit 252) and turn left onto 17th or 10th St. or North Ave. to access Midtown.
