Plan Ahead! Summer Construction Season Underway

Summer 2010: A number of road construction and maintenance projects are scheduled this summer. To help commuters and vacationers reach their destinations with minimal delays and aggravation, Georgia DOT has prepared a detailed list (click here) of summer projects statewide. Motorists are strongly advised to plan accordingly and call 511 for real-time travel information, 24 hours a day.

Many of these projects will require lane closures and may result in traffic delays on interstates and state routes throughout Georgia. Every effort is being made to restrict lane closures to nights and weekends. There will be no construction-related lane closures over Labor Day weekend.
